Call 000 (triple zero) for life-threatening emergencies.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for the Southeast Coast, parts of Wide Bay, Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts.

Damaging westerly wind gusts are developing over the southeast interior this evening, extending across the southeast overnight.

Recent sustained rainfall has left the ground saturated, and combined with high winds some clients will have an increased risk of fallen trees and power lines.

Fallen Trees

Fallen trees and bushes NOT involving powerlines call our after-hours emergency number on 04 8808 5344 .

Trees conduct electricity

If a tree branch or its foliage touches overhead powerlines, voltage can pass through it making the tree 'live' with electricity.

Hazardous voltage can be present at ground level at the base of the tree. Be sure to stay at least 10 meters away from the tree and warns others to stay away.

If fallen trees involve powerlines report it immediately to Energex on 13 19 62 . Call 000 (triple zero) for life-threatening emergencies.
